The New York The New York Philharmonic is an American orchestra founded in 1842 and is one of the oldest orchestras in the United States, having moved from Carnegie Hall to Lincoln Center in 1962. The New York Philharmonic has given the U.S. premiere of Symphony No. 9, Symphony of Fantasy, and other works.
