Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem (University of Budapest) is a famous Hungarian university, founded in 1635, located in the capital city of Budapest, and a member of the Coimbra Group. Originally named the University of Budapest, in 1921 it was renamed the Royal Hungarian University of Pázmány-Peter, and in 1950 the name was changed to Ötvös Loránd University.
