Hakusensha Corporation (Hakusensha) is a publisher known for publishing girls' manga periodicals, and was spun off from the company on December 1, 1973. Shiraisensha has an annual Athena (Athena) Newcomer Manga Award, which began in 1976, and is a collection of works from its four major girls' manga magazines, judged by well-known manga artists.
