7 Billion The 7 Billion Actions is an initiative launched by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York on October 31, 2011, when the 7 Billion People Day arrived. It is also a day officially designated by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to raise awareness of the opportunities and challenges presented by 7 billion people and to inspire governments, NGOs and individuals to take action.
