The National Transportation Safety Board ( The National Transportation Safety Board (abbreviated as NTSB) is a U.S. government investigation agency established in 1967 and headquartered in Washington, D.C. It is primarily responsible for civil transportation accident investigations, including aviation accidents as well as some marine accidents, railroad accidents, and pipeline accidents. Up to now, the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board has issued more than 10,000 safety recommendations, of which more than 70% have been adopted or partially adopted by the relevant agencies.
