The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is the U.S. intelligence, espionage, and counterintelligence agency whose primary responsibility is to collect and analyze global political, economic, cultural, military, scientific, and other intelligence, and submit the intelligence obtained to the relevant departments of the U.S. government. The CIA is known as one of the "world's four major intelligence organizations" along with Mossad.
