G.H.Bass&Co. is a classic footwear brand with a long history in the United States, originating in 1876. Its founder, George Henry Bass, became an apprentice leatherworker at the age of eighteen; in March 1876, he purchased a portion of the stock of E.P. Packard & Co. and in subsequent years became a wholly-owned shareholder of the company, renaming it G.H. Bass & Co. Bass & Co. The brand's shoes are not the most fashionable in terms of style, but their workmanship is very sophisticated and the quality is excellent.
