Cigna, the nation's largest specialty employee benefits insurer and the fifth largest, is a joint venture between the Insurance Company of North America (ICNA) and Convoy Life Insurance Company (CLIC). The company was formed in 1792 by the merger of the Insurance Company of North America and Connecticut Gcncral Life, and is dedicated to providing health care, pensions, group life insurance and related financial services.
