The flowing wind is like a river flowing in the sky, constantly changing and extending. What is shown here is not a beautiful picture, but a dynamic meteorological map. Zoom and turn the earth you can see a small range of wind direction changes; through several layers of overlap, but also the temperature, precipitation conditions, pressure and other information overlapping. So to be precise this is a "wind" as the core of the real time meteorological satellite map.

From the Earth's surface to the altitude of 13,500 meters, the atmosphere is horizontally divided into 12 different altitudes, and each altitude is chosen to have a corresponding image to see the trend of wind changes from the bottom to the top. Between 3000 meters and 6000 meters, the wind speed and direction changed dramatically, and the world above 6000 meters looked like a big, fierce river, while people below 3000 meters looked like they were living in a calm river on the surface.

As a non-profit website, Windyty is produced by Cambecc (Github), who lives in Prague, Czech Republic. The weather data comes from the Global Focus System open source platform supported by the National Weather Service. As an alpine parachute skier, Cambecc collects a lot of wind data before each trip, and based on the Tokyo wind map, Cambecc started to create his own visual wind forecast website in 2013, which is the story of Windyty's birth.
