RhodesCollege, one of the nation's top liberal arts colleges, was founded in 1848 in Memphis, Tennessee, and was formerly known as Tennessee Masonic University, founded by the Southwestern Christian Presbyterian Church, and ranked 54th in the 2015 ranking of U.S. liberal arts colleges.
