Trinity Trinity College is the oldest liberal arts college in the United States and the second university in Connecticut. Founded in 1823, it is one of the few colleges in engineering to be accredited by the Engineering and Technology Accreditation Commission, and the eighth college in the United States to receive the honor of Phi Beta Kappa. The college was ranked 45th in the 2015 ranking of U.S. liberal arts colleges.
