United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is a liberal arts college dedicated to training junior commanders for the U.S. Air Force, and was signed into law by President Eisenhower on April 1, 1954. It is ranked 27th in the U.S. in 2015.
