The University of Wyoming ( The University of Wyoming (UW) is a large and comprehensive public university located in Laramie, Wyoming, the third largest city in the state. The University of Wyoming offers a full range of professional programs, from bachelor's degrees to doctoral degrees. It is classified in the Carnegie Classification as a doctoral/research university in the highest research category in the United States. It is also the only four-year public institution of higher learning in Wyoming. The University of Wyoming has excellent learning facilities, including modern lecture halls and laboratories, a library with over 750,000 volumes, and a large computer network system. Students have access to an indoor recreation center, playrooms, lounges, sports courts and a swimming pool.
