Funny Nobel Prize (Ig Nobel Prizes) is a parody award sponsored by the Journal of Scientific Humor (Annals of Improbable Research), founded in 1991 and awarded at Harvard University's Sanders Theatre. Although the Nobel Prize is a parody, it is not a parody. It is awarded only to scientific achievements that are "funny at first glance, but thought-provoking later", and its jury includes real Nobel Prize winners.
