Afar is a travel magazine founded in 2009 and headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York City. It provides recommendations for global destinations, travel experiences, travel inspiration, hotel recommendations and other content to inspire and guide people who travel the world to connect with locals, experience their cultures and understand their perspectives. The magazine is a recipient of the Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Award.
