Rite Aid is the second largest drugstore chain in the United States, with its first store opening in Pennsylvania in 1962. Through acquisitions and store openings, the discount center expanded rapidly and was officially named Rite Aid in 1968. 3,600 pharmacy chains are now located in more than 30 states, serving millions of customers in 3,800 communities every day.
