Thomas Dariel Interior Design Studio (Dariel Studio was founded by Thomas Dariel, a Parisian interior designer whose ancestors were furniture designers and jazz musicians, and whose father was an architect, so that the romantic inspiration and design impulse flowed in his blood.

Thomas introduced himself as a young boy when he came to Shanghai with his family. At that time, he was shocked by what he saw, and he told himself: no matter where I study, I will come back to Shanghai. In 2006, at the age of 23, Thomas left behind his privileged life in France and came here alone with only a piece of luggage and a passion for Chinese culture to start his career.

In Thomas's work, one can see that he has a naughty streak and is able to put many disparate elements together in a harmonious way. He says he is inspired by different places, different trips, different people he meets, and his family: his two children and his wife. Some of the people he meets and the books he reads give him inspiration. It is important to be inspired, to control inspiration, and he believes that designers need to learn to train this ability.

Thomas' work has a very strong personal style, with his native French romanticism, but at the same time contains Chinese oriental elements. Thomas believes that Chinese and Western cultures are very different, if not unrelated. Over the past ten years, Thomas has discovered the power of Chinese history through books, Chinese libraries, artists, and antique markets. These artistic images are deeply accumulated in his mind and run out when he is working on his interior design.

Thomas describes his particular favorite piece as a pair of closets called "Yin" and "Yang". He chose yin and yang because they are opposite, like the creation of a subject. In some ways they are completely different, but when put together, they are so intimate. Everything, every story, every life, every character has its two opposite sides.

Thomas Darier used nearly a decade to grow into a design red man in Shanghai, many international brands have become his partners. Heroes do not ask the young, in 2012, just a year old, he won the "Oscar of the design world " Award - Andrew Martin International Interior Design Award "Designer of the Year " and many other awards.
