brief introduction

Festival Cannes: Cannes is one of the world's largest, most important and most influential film festivals, along with the Berlin Film Festival, the Venice Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival and the Karlovy Vary Film Festival.

Cannes International Film Festival (Festival De Cannes, also known as Cannes or Cannes Film Festival, was founded in 1939 and is known as one of the world's top three international film festivals, along with the Venice International Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival, with the highest award being the "Golden Palm Award".

Cannes International Film Festival (French: Festival de Cannes) is an international film festival and awards held in Cannes, a city in the south of France, which was first held in 1939 and revived after World War II and expanded in the same place. It is one of the most influential film festivals in the world, together with the Berlin Film Festival in Germany, the Venice Film Festival in Italy, the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada, and the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic as the world's five largest film festivals; and with the Berlin Film Festival, the Venice Film Festival, and the Moscow Film Festival in Russia as the world's four largest art film festivals.

Since its inception, the Cannes Film Festival has remained true to its original vision: to discover and promote films to foster the development of cinema, to support the world's film industry and to become the seventh international event of the arts.

The festival is concerned with the discovery of new talent and the support of creative work. "The Cannes Short Film Festival was established for this purpose, and has adopted several measures to support future talent: the Golden Camera Award recognizes the best virgin film selected for the Official Selection, Director's Fortnight or International Critics' Week.
