The Association Sportive de Monaco Football Club is a professional soccer club located in the Grand Duchy of Monaco and is a participating team. The club was founded in 1919 and its home stadium is the Louis II Stadium, which has a capacity of 18,500. Monaco has won the Ligue 1 title seven times and the Coupe de France five times, and was promoted from the second division to the first division in 2011 when Russian tycoons injected money into the team.
