The Tour de France (Le Tour de France) is a world-renowned annual multi-stage road cycling event held in France, mainly in France, but also frequently in neighboring countries (such as the United Kingdom, Belgium, and the neighboring Spanish Pyrenees).

Each team consists of 9 riders, with a total of 20-22 teams. Traditionally, only the top professional racing teams are invited to participate.

In recent years, the organizers of the race have used the International Cycling Federation's scoring system to determine the teams, leaving 2-4 places for well-known (big names) or unsuccessful French teams. Each team was named by its biggest sponsor and wore its team uniform.
