The Académie des Beaux-Arts is an authoritative institution in the French art world, one of the five academies, formed in 1803 by the merger of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, the Académie des Beaux-Arts and the Académie des Beaux-Arts. The academy's members are divided into painting, sculpture, architecture, printmaking, music and other categories.
