El Peruano, the official daily newspaper of the Peruvian government, is the oldest Spanish-language newspaper in Latin America and is part of the Peruvian Publishing Agency, founded in 1826 by the South American liberator Simón Bolívar. It is the official website of the Peruvian Government, providing information on government decrees, official events, news published by official news agencies and legal matters.
