DMH|Israel Holon Design Museum

The Holon Design Museum is a fully government-funded design museum in Israel. With a total area of 4,100 square meters, the Holon Design Museum is becoming one of Israel's most important design landmarks, showcasing Israeli and international innovations - including fashion, furniture, technology and architecture.

As the most important thematic exhibition of the summer, the amp;quot;Sound and Matter in Design" (Sound and Matter in Design) turns the entire museum into a giant interactive installation exploring sound design and related materials. Before even entering the interior of the Design Museum, one can see that the building's exterior corrosion-resistant steel walls have been fitted with a set of speakers that visitors can manipulate themselves to produce sound. Inside the building, the entire exhibition consists of two main parts: "Seeing Sound" and "Perceiving Sound".

"Seeing Sound" is located in the upper gallery and is curated by Tel Aviv-based designer Anat Safran, architect and new media artist Lila Chitayat, and Italian curator Elidsabetta Pisu, which features more than 50 objects related to sound from the 1960s onwards. Divided into three categories-static, kinetic, and interactive-they are not necessarily common everyday objects that are mass-produced, but also include experimental and interesting inventions.

In addition to the two main exhibition sections, the Design Museum's outer corridor presents a solo exhibition by Israeli jewelry artist Dana Hakim Bercovich, "Through the Mesh". Mesh.) The artist has made a series of jewelry using metal mesh, which is often used for amplifiers and acoustic devices.
