The Miss World pageant was founded by Eric Morley in 1951 in South Bank, England. The competition was originally part of the British New Year's Eve celebrations, after the United Kingdom to promote the development of a United States and "Miss Universe" (Miss Universe) and Japan "Miss International" (Miss International) and Japan "Miss International" (Miss International) as the world's three major international formal women's cultural activities.
