As Europe's largest exchange, the LSE is responsible for more than two-thirds of international stock business and is the ideal gateway to Europe for investors from around the world. on February 9, 2011, the TMX Group, the parent company of the Toronto Stock Exchange, was acquired by the LSE for $3.2 billion, creating a broader trading platform.
