The UK postal regulator has granted long-term operating licences to 13 postal companies, including well-known names such as Sinotrans-Dunho and Tiandi Logistics. The move will clear the way for them to compete on a level playing field with Royal Mail. The regulator said the change would improve the overall level of service in the postal business and that non-Royal Mail letterboxes would be on the streets within a few years.
