The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is the first of the three major symphony orchestras in the UK (the other two being the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra), and one of the highest standard symphony orchestras in the world, established in 1904. It was founded in 1904 as the Queen's Hall Orchestra in 1895. The London Symphony Orchestra represents the highest level of performance in the United Kingdom.
