The Pirates! Band of Misfits (aka: The Pirate Ship of Love) is the first 3D clay stop-motion animation, adapted from Gideon Defoe's novel The Pirates! Adventure with Scientist", directed by Peter Lloyd and Jeff Newitt. The film is known as "the most humorous pirate film" because of the witty and funny plot and alternative character images.

"The Dandy" (The Dandy) is the earliest comic book publication in the United Kingdom, began publishing in 1927, reached the peak of sales in the 1950s to the 1980s, setting a record of two million copies sold a week. In December 2012, the paper version officially retired from the history stage.
