The University of Liverpool (University of Liverpool) is a public research university in the United Kingdom, one of the six "red brick universities", as a founding member. The University of Liverpool was founded in 1881 and was granted university status in 1884. Liverpool has a high status in the academic field, having produced the UK's first Nobel Prize winner, Ronald Roth. The University of Liverpool was ranked 36th in the 2014 UK University Rankings.
