Queen Mary, University of London was founded in 1887 and joined the University of London in 1915. It is one of the top 100 universities in the world, a member of the Russell Group of Ivy League universities, a member of the Commonwealth University Alliance, and one of the larger independent colleges in the University of London. The University of London Queen Mary College is a merger of Queen Mary College, Westfield College, St Bartholomews Medical School and London Hospital Medical College.
