Uzbekistan Airways ( Uzbekistan Airways was established after the collapse of the Soviet Union by the then president of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, to rebuild the country's airport and transport infrastructure and to launch international flights. The airline's maiden flight was from Tashkent to London.
