The United Nations International Seabed Authority ( The International Seabed Authority (ISA) is an authoritative organization dedicated to the management of the international seabed area and its resources, originating from the Preparatory Commission for the International Seabed Authority and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (Seabed Preparatory Commission) established in March 1983 and formally established in Kingston, Jamaica, on November 16, 1994.
