Transylvania International (TIFF) is the first international feature film festival in Romania and one of the most important cultural events in the country. audiences can watch the most valuable domestic films here at any time.

The Film Festival was established by the Romanian Film Promotion Association in 2002. The main goal of the festival is to promote the art of cinema by presenting the most important original independent films, encouraging imagination and young perspectives. The Transylvania International Film Festival has become the most important venue for the distribution of works in the country, and the first place Romanian audiences go to see films. 2012 saw 240 films from 46 countries screened in 13 locations, attracting more than 67,000 visitors over the ten days of the festival.
