Currently, Auckland University has more than 5,500 international students from more than 80 countries, whose cultural backgrounds and ambitions enrich the campus life of the University to no end.

All teaching and research activities of the eight departments and the Divinity School are conducted on five separate campuses. They include Architecture and Design, Real Estate, Urban Planning and the Arts, Liberal Arts, Business and Economics, Engineering, Law, Medicine and Health Care, and Science. In addition, the University has 50 interdisciplinary research institutes and groups, ranging from small research groups to large research institutes, engaged in research in those emerging interdisciplinary areas of convergence.
