Wellington Hospital is the main hospital in Wellington, New Zealand. Established in 1847, it is located in Newtown, south of the city center and is operated and managed by the Capital and Coastal Regional Health Board, mainly serving the Wellington, Pluria and Kapiti Coast regions. Wellington Hospital is also a major regional tertiary hospital with a full range of medical services including specialist and severe disability services for complex conditions, intensive care units, cardiac surgery, cancer care, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, and renal care.
