The General Insurance Association Singapore (GIA), the commercial representative of all general insurance companies in Singapore, was established in 1965 to provide a more efficient and trustworthy interface between consumers, agents and insurers. GIA was established in 1965 to provide a more efficient and credible channel of contact between consumers, agents and insurers, and to provide a more comprehensive range of insurance coverage to consumers. Currently, the association has 35 member companies.
