Singapore Art Museum

The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) is Opened in 1996, the SAM is one of the largest collections of 20th-century Southeast Asian art, and houses numerous treasures of modern and contemporary Southeast Asian art that are second to none in showcasing both local and international art features, demonstrating a cutting-edge approach to artistic expression.



Through strategic partnerships with a wide range of international and cultural institutions, the Singapore Art Museum has been a major player in the art world. The 2011 Singapore Biennale was organised by the Singapore Art Museum, which has been a driving force in the arts and cultural scene, promoting visual arts education, exchange, research and development.

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Nanyang) was established in 1938, formerly as Nanyang Fine Arts College, and was upgraded by the Singapore government in 1999 to be equivalent to a government polytechnic, receiving subsidies from the Ministry of Education. Today, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore has grown to a full-fledged art institution with 1600 full-time students and 3000 part-time students. Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts is recognized internationally and is a highly regarded institution of higher learning for its graduates. The new campus of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts is divided into three buildings: the Administration Building and the School of Visual Arts, the School of Costume, the School of Performing Arts and the School of Children's and Youth Arts. The majors offered are: pure art, interior design, graphic design, drama performance, music, dance, arts management, costume design, fashion marketing and marketing.
