Jetstar Asia Airways is the third largest low cost airline in Singapore, a branch of Qantas' Jetstar Airways, established in 2004, and is characterized by destinations that are mostly within five hours of Singapore, such as Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taipei and so on. On July 24, 2005, Jetstar Asia merged with its biggest competitor, Value Travel Airlines.
