The World Tourism Organization (WTO) is an international authoritative tourism organization, formerly known as the International Union of Official Tourism, later changed to its current name in 1975, headquartered in Madrid, Spain. The main responsibility of the World Tourism Organization is to collect and analyze tourism data, regularly provide statistics and research reports to member countries, develop international tourism conventions, declarations, rules, templates, and study global tourism policies.
