Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) is a multinational energy company founded on August 30, 1975 and is the largest state-owned enterprise in Venezuela and the largest in all of Latin America. The company is engaged in operational and commercial operations, both domestically and abroad, in the areas of oil and gas exploration, development, refining, transportation and distribution, as well as in the oil emulsion, chemical, petrochemical and coal industries.
