The National Library of Thailand ( The National Library of Thailand was established by the order of King Chulalongkorn, King Rama V of the Zakri Dynasty, on October 12, 1905, by merging three old royal libraries, with the aim of collecting and preserving all intellectual resources and providing the greatest possible range of services to the public.

The National Library of Thailand, through its seven special collections in Bangkok and 14 branches in the provinces, has been established to provide the greatest possible service to the public. The National Library of Thailand provides services to the whole country through 7 special collections in Bangkok and 14 branch libraries in other provinces, each branch library is led and managed by the National Library, readers do not need any documents to enter the library, library services are basically free of charge, the copy fee is also low, the collection of books can only be read in the library can not be lent.

The primary function of the National Library of Thailand is to collect and preserve all intellectual resources; to provide services to the public to the greatest extent possible. Over the years it has played a very important role in education and culture, with collections covering subjects such as medicine, law, history, art and astronomy.
