The National University of Thailand ( Thammasat University is one of the oldest universities in Thailand, located in the historical and cultural center of Bangkok on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. She was founded in 1933 as a university of the arts, and in 1934 was approved as a law and political science "open amplification ". 1952, officially became the National University of Thailand, and in 1960 ended her history of open amplification, and became a formal university with strict admission requirements and passed the entrance examination.

Over the past 67 years, the University of Law and Political Science has grown from an enlightened university teaching law and political science to a prestigious university with a strong reputation. Currently, there are 21 departments, 6 faculties, and 7 research centers. Including international programs, by 2001 the University had 104 undergraduate programs and 82 graduate degree programs, teaching all over Thailand.
