AirAsia X Thailand AirAsia X is a joint venture in Thailand formed by Malaysia's long-haul low-cost carrier Air Asia Long Haul, which operates international medium- and long-haul flights from Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport. Operating as a long-haul, low-fare joint venture, it offers AirAsia Thailand's scheduled long-haul international flights from Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport.

On June 17, 2014, AirAsia X Thailand The first destination launched was Seoul - Incheon, followed by Osaka - Kansai and Tokyo - Narita on September 1, 2014. It is the airline of Thai AirAsia that operates mid- and long-haul flights. Its franchise is able to reduce costs and use a common ticketing system, airline uniforms, staff uniforms and management style with Thai AirAsia.

On September 18, 2013, AirAsiaX signed a shareholder agreement with Tassapon Bijleveld and Julpas Krueospon to partner on a long-haul, low-cost joint venture airline. The airline is called Thai AirAsiaX Limited, which is 49% owned by AirAsia. On February 3, 2014, the company received a certificate of airline operation from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand. The company will operate with two Airbus A330-300 aircraft leased from AirAsia subsidiaries.

AirAsia Long Haul is the brand name for AirAsia Thailand's medium and long haul routes, using the same ticketing system, aircraft paint, staff uniforms and operating model to reduce costs.
