Kinokuniya Shoten (きのくにやしょてん, Kinokuniya Shoten), short for Kinokuniya, is the largest chain of bookstores in Japan, established on January 22, 1927. It has 59 branches in Japan and has branches in other countries. In Japan, in addition to bookstores, Kii Kuniya also operates art performance activities, such as concert halls and theaters.
