The World Economic Forum (WEF; abbreviation: WEF; also known as: Davos Forum) is a foundation form of non-profit organization, its predecessor is the European Management Forum was established in 1971, in 1987 officially renamed the World Economic Forum, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The purpose of the Forum is to study and research problems in the world economy and to promote international economic cooperation and exchange. However, the current status of the forum is the lack of real knowledge and technical experts, important business and political figures, but rather focus on political issues in the eyes of the media (such as global climate change and the AIDS problem in Africa).
