AiBa:International Amateur Boxing Association The International Boxing Association (IBA) was founded in London in 1946 by the Boxing Associations of Britain, France and 24 other countries. Boxing is an official event of the Olympic Games.

The mission of the International Boxing Association is to spread the true amateur spirit of the sport of boxing and to develop the athletes of all countries. The mission of the IKF is to spread the true amateur spirit of boxing and to develop friendly competition between athletes from all countries, to establish the rules and regulations for world championships and international competitions, to ensure that IKF competitions adhere to the rules of competition, to develop friendly and respectful relationships between members, and to oppose all forms of discrimination.

The International Boxing Association has five regional bureaus in Europe, Asia, Africa, the United States and Oceania. The General Assembly is the highest authority of the International Boxing Association and is held once every four years. Each member of the association can send three delegates to the meeting, but only one vote.
