Chalmers University of Technology ( Chalmers University of Technology is one of Europe's top polytechnics, founded by William Chalmers, one of the directors of the Swedish East India Company. The school was named after William Chalmers, one of the directors of the Swedish East India Company, who donated money for the purpose of establishing an industrial school. The school is located in Sweden's second largest city, Gothenburg, located on the beautiful west coast of Sweden, is the largest and most important port city in Scandinavia.

Chalmers is part of the prestigious IDEA consortium with a number of leading European polytechnics. Chalmers University of Technology is ranked 55th in the world in the 2013 QS World University Rankings in the field of engineering technology and 52nd in the world in electrical and electronic engineering.
