Malmö University (Malmo Hogskola in Swedish) is located in Malmö, southern Sweden, and is a public university in Sweden. The university was established in 1998 and is now the eighth largest undergraduate institution in Sweden. The University of Malmo is located in the center of Malmo and has played a major role in the city's transformation from an industrial city to a university town. Malmö University has three departments: Culture and Society, Health and Society, and Dentistry, as well as a Faculty of Teacher Education and a Faculty of Technology. Malmö University is committed to becoming a university open to the world; through a multidisciplinary approach to cross-learning, beyond the boundaries of traditional teaching methods, so that students are comfortable with the ever-changing job market.
