Södertörn University is located in a vibrant and dynamic development area in the south of Stockholm, Sweden. Since its establishment in 1996, the university has maintained a high level of teaching and research based on the concept of innovation. Currently, the university has 12,000 students and 750 employees. The University of Södertörn has three faculties that are responsible for the quality of teaching in their respective educational subjects. These are: the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Technology, the Faculty of Sciences, and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Research. Södertörn University offers more than 70 majors in the fields of humanities, social sciences, life sciences and education. In addition, the university has more than 400 courses for individual students to choose from. Södertörn University has the right to award bachelor's and master's degrees and is expected to be upgraded to a university in the near future. Södertörn University offers graduate programs in English for international non-exchange agreement students: biomedical genomics, economics, environmental science, communication and decision making, infectious disease control, interactive media design, media studies, communication and cultural analysis, molecular ecology, political science, tourism, etc.
