The Computational Biology Research Center (CBRC), a Japanese site primarily engaged in the research and development of basic bioinformatics component technologies, was reorganized in April 2007. The Research Center for Computational Biology focuses on striving to achieve seamless integration of information infrastructure with corresponding external resources, including in-house development and maintenance of application software and databases. The Research Center is a core facility for bioinformatics research and human resource development in Japan.
